Valencia Basket wraps up its tough three-game week on the court of Hiopos Lleida
Liga Endesa round 3

Valencia Basket men’s team will face a tough challenge as they look to finish this three-game week on a positive note with their visit to Hiopos Lleida’s court (Sunday 19th, 5:00 p.m., Espai Fruita Barris Nord, DAZN) in a game corresponding to the third round of the Liga Endesa. Just over 43 hours after finishing their EuroLeague match, the taronja squad will need to recover their energy and rhythm to take on a difficult away game against a team that has started the season well — a clash between two undefeated sides in domestic competition.
Valencia Basket won in their first-ever visit to this opponent last season, although the overall record of games played in Lleida is much more balanced, albeit still in Valencia’s favor with three wins and two losses.
Pedro Martínez is keeping the same 13-player roster that traveled to Monaco, with Montero making his season debut on Friday and Yankuba Sima remaining the only injured player. Therefore, a technical scratch will have to be made before tip-off.
Valencia Basket begins this third round of the Liga Endesa in third place with a 2–0 record.

It's a very difficult team. Lleida is playing well. I think they're 2-0 right now. Like you said, they won against Barcelona last week. We've got to figure out a way to take away what they do well. They like to play fast, so it's a high-energy game. We've got to figure out how to match their energy. We've had a couple of times this week where we get down in a big hole, so it's hard for us to come out of that. But if we figure out a way to start the game better and do our principles earlier, I think we have a good chance. I remember playing here last year, and I thought a couple of times, game was finished, game was over, and they found a way to fight back and the crowd got into it. We did end up winning the game, but it was very difficult. So we've got to stay focused tomorrow and do our best to stay together as a team and do our principles.
